Brígid

Brígid is the bright, exalted one golden sparkling flame who brings increase after winter, emerging from the hill as a serpent on the eve of spring, and who causes milk to flow. Brígid endows holy wells with healing virtues, and her breath revives the dead. Brígid inspires gifts in poetry, healing, and smithcraft. Scottish chants praised her powers "over fire, over art, over all beauty beneath the sky and beneath the sea."

She is also said to be the sister of the goddess of pleasure (and goddess of the underworld), Bebhinn.
